I condotti dell’aria di serie sono “passivi”, ovvero richiedono una depressione per aspirare aria fresca dalle prese d’aria verso i filtri. Se la scatola del filtro originale è intatta, le prese d’aria non apporteranno grandi benefici alla vostra auto, poiché la depressione è sufficiente a fornire aria fresca ai filtri. Se decidete di rimuovere la scatola originale e passare a sistemi di aspirazione aperti BMS o di altri marchi, i condotti dell’aria “passivi” non forniranno aria fresca ai filtri (in assenza di depressione). L’aggiunta delle prese d’aria ai sistemi di aspirazione aftermarket ridurrà il rischio di accumulo di calore e migliorerà le prestazioni.


Per convertire i condotti dell’aria originali da passivi ad attivi, sono necessarie le prese d’aria (che ridirigono l’aria in ingresso di 90 gradi).

Look like to be of good quality

They look like they are of good quality. After using them for a month, I did feel some effect.

Work a treat.

After installing them, they pull in more cold air. And yeah, the engine definitely runs better now.

They are useful product for open intake upgrades.

Putting in an open air intake means taking out the factory air box, which can make the engine pull in hot air from the engine bay. But these active air scoops change things. They are well made, aluminium so they will last, and I have put them on my 05 e60. Now when driving fast, there is a clear power boost.

Not used yet, but should work.

Requires drilling for installation, but I found loads of guides online and just followed them. Looks good so far. I have not used it yet, so I am not sure how it works, but should be fine.

Seems to do the job.

Not sure about the exact combustion efficiency numbers, but it definitely feels better when driving fast. Seems to do the job.

Modern look, catch the eye

Easy to install. Gives the car a modern look and catches some attention/ questions. I think they look super clean. Plus they help out with airflow.

More for look rather than performance.

Might keep your engine the slightest bit cooler while going over 40. Easy to install, good quality metal, slight sound difference. The best thing about these is the more aggressive tone they give your car, definitely more noticeable from the front side than I imagined as they do hang pretty low. No need to remove your grills.

They work

Everyday driving in town you won't really notice a difference, once your on the highway or higher speeds it does help given you're running a K&N or high flow air filter. Now it's not going to make your car
magically gain 100hp but you can feel a little extra in the higher rpm ranges. My car has a whistle from them something with how they seal or just the aerodynamics causing it I personally don't mind it but I can see how it become annoying to someone who commutes further distances everyday otherwise they're great and I'd recommend them.
