Fitment:
For GM Trucks and SUV's with the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, and 6.2L Vortec V8 Gas Engines,
such as: for Chevy Tahoe Suburban Silverado, for GMC Yukon, for Cadillac Escalade, for Hummer H2.

 

REQUIRED Installation Steps: 
(Wear eye protection, remove jewelry/loose items, and allow car to fully cool before starting installation)

Batteries must be fully charged before installation.
Make sure vehicle is off and engine is cool.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery/batteries.
Disconnect all other wiring from the alternator.
Remove the belt (note the belt routing before removing).
Remove the bracket bolts and original alternator.
Mount the new alternator. Typically the original bolts will be used.
The belt must be replaced with a .5 to 1-inch shorter belt when installing a high output alternator, unless otherwise specified.
Install the new belt. Make sure the routing is correct and the belt is aligned with all pulley grooves.

it is very particular on what belt tensioner you use. Other than that the customer support was fantastic at answering all my questions within a timely manner All around good product and experience.

Idler goes on inside with smothered pulley and p/s alt uses pulley off truck original bracket. Have not put on yet

Dual alternator bracket

This alternator bracket appears to be made with good quality metal. I am needing to replace my original, but unfortunately have not had time to do it yet. This looks to be everything I need. It should be an easy install. I just need to have the time.
