The parts themselves are solid quality magnetic material. If there's any metal debris floating in the engine fingers crossed, this thing's gonna catch it.

I hardly see any metal shavings on this when I drain the pan. Glad it cuts down on recirculating ferrous stuff through my engine.

Better than I expect

I've never been big on magnetic drain plugs, but wanted to upgrade my stock one, so I figured spending a bit more for better quality was worth it. The plug head is solid, and my socket fit tight with zero wobble. The magnet tends to stick to the oil pan while lining it up, but it only took a couple tries to thread it in.

Good upgrade

Absolutely an upgrade, but I wish they gave a heads-up about how tricky it is to install! If youre not careful and the magnet catches inside the pan misaligned, you risk cross-threading the drain plug. Always line it up first, then torque it down.
