Fitment: Before purchasing, please make sure the ignition coil connector part number starts with "8K0".
NOTE:
For Golf GTI & For Golf R & For Mk7 Mk7.5 - Use the grounding lug located behind the passenger-side headlight.
For Mk8 - Fitment is confirmed and follows the same setup as Mk7 and Mk7.5 models.
For Audi A3/S3 - The grounding lug is on the passenger-side frame near the fender, behind the headlight. If it's hard to reach, you can use the M6 threaded hole on the engine mount instead.
For Audi A3/S3 8Y - You may want to route the ground wire to the driver’s side and use the factory chassis grounding point near the back of the battery.

This is a kit that replaces the genuine coil earth wire (coupler terminal 1 - only goes to the round hole in the coil) with a direct connection to the negative terminal of the battery. I got it for a friend when he bought one. The work wasn't that difficult, but it was nerve-wracking to attach and detach the terminal.
