Shift slop gone

The carrier bushing on my E46 330Ci was completely shot.Pressed this in using the screwdriver trick from the description and the shifter feels new again.Ten minute fix.

Should have done this 50k miles ago

Honestly, for what this costs, it is the best bang for the buck mod I have done on my E92 335i.The old rubber bushing had basically disintegrated and the shifter wandered around like a joystick.After pressing this 90A bushing in, the gates are defined and the shifter centers properly.There is a little more vibration through the stick at idle, but it settled down after a few days and I barely notice it now.If your shifts feel mushy, start here before blaming the whole linkage.

Works great, a bit buzzy at first

Firmed up the shifter on my E60 530i immediately and install was as easy as advertised.There is some extra vibration on first and second gear pulls, which the listing is upfront about.It calmed down after a week of driving.Four stars only because I wish a small packet of grease came in the bag.
