I've swapped intake manifolds on GTI and A3 before. This tool's my go-to! Installations easy if you're patient and take your time with the screws. Problem fixed, no more DTCs, and I saved a bunch of time and cash.

I put it in a few months back and haven't seen any codes pop up. It actually does the job! Gotta say, the rear screws are tough to reach unless youve got small hands. So far, so good!

At first, I over-torqued the screws, making the throttle rough, and only half-tightened the rear ones. But after installing all three (easy with the included tools and some patience), its been running smooth. Ive put over 800 miles on it and the check engine light hasnt popped once.

The caps in this kit slide right over the existing manifolds with zero slack, repaired the busted manifold joints, and sealed the leak. All issues sorted, and idle speed went back to normal. Cost-effective and reliable.

This small part nailed the fix! Once installed, the car runs smooth again. After a reset, the check engine light stayed off. Big time and money saver versus swapping the whole intake. Highly recommend!

The kit is well made. It would be nice if the retaining screws were easier to install or a different method.

I thought I'd have to replace the engine. I started looking for a vacuum line that might have come loose after the IE 1 flash, but I found nothing. I did find the lever for the intake flap popped out, which told me the intake manifold was broken. After hours of Google searching, I found this cap and Teflon gasket. I estimated it was worth $50, but I didn't expect it would solve my problem for less than $40. Thank you!

This solved the problem at a reasonable price without having to replace the entire intake manifold. You should have tightened it almost completely before installing it so there's more room to tighten it at the end. It took 10 days to arrive, which is acceptable considering the distance.

Installation calls for patience since the set screws must be torqued just rightnot too tight to bind the actuator, but snug enough to hold. I used a mirror to get a good angle on the rear screws, which worked great.

Under boost, the intake manifolds lever arm kept popping out, causing a serious vacuum leak. The only fix was swapping the whole intake manifold until I found this part.
