Le perdite d'olio dalla guarnizione del supporto del filtro dell'olio sono comuni nei modelli a 6 cilindri dal 1992 al 2005. 
Questa guarnizione sagomata serve a sigillare il collegamento tra il supporto e il monoblocco, ma con l'uso prolungato si restringe e si indurisce, causando il cedimento della tenuta e l'inizio di perdite d'olio.

Raccomandazione per la riparazione:
Poiché la sostituzione della guarnizione richiede lo smontaggio di componenti periferici, come cinghie, tenditori, tubi dell'olio VANOS, alternatore, ecc., si consiglia di eseguire l'operazione in concomitanza con la manutenzione ordinaria, così da ridurre i costi di manodopera.

Solved the problem

Decided to replace both gaskets even though I only had a leak at the oil cooler, good thing to do while its apart and I'm glad I did.

Quality Seal

I recommend an experienced mechanic to make the repair using the correct torque settings on the housing bolts (so the seal is not deformed). No more oil leaks for me! Very happy with this quality seal.

Check fitment before you buy

If you are doing the oil cooler gasket also, be prepared to remove the coolant hose to get access to the bolt from the back. After you are done, remember to properly bleed your cooling system before you drive.
