Las fugas de aceite en la junta de la carcasa del filtro de aceite son comunes en los modelos de 6 cilindros de 1992 a 2005. 
Esta junta moldeada se utiliza para sellar la conexión entre la carcasa y el bloque, pero se encoge y endurece con el uso prolongado, lo que provoca que el sellado falle y comience una fuga de aceite.

Recomendación de reparación:
Dado que para sustituir la junta es necesario desmontar componentes periféricos (por ejemplo, correas, tensores, líneas de aceite del VANOS, alternador, etc.), se recomienda realizar esta operación junto con el mantenimiento periódico para ahorrar costes de mano de obra.

Solved the problem

Decided to replace both gaskets even though I only had a leak at the oil cooler, good thing to do while its apart and I'm glad I did.

Quality Seal

I recommend an experienced mechanic to make the repair using the correct torque settings on the housing bolts (so the seal is not deformed). No more oil leaks for me! Very happy with this quality seal.

Check fitment before you buy

If you are doing the oil cooler gasket also, be prepared to remove the coolant hose to get access to the bolt from the back. After you are done, remember to properly bleed your cooling system before you drive.
