Cheap fix, really recommend it.

My Golf hood latch broke last week, couldn't open it. Got this, put it in myself in 15 mins with a screwdriver. Hood works great now.

Great replacement.

I replaced it and it fitted perfectly. The buckle is tougher than the original plastic. It’s a real upgrade.

Fits 2016 golf.

Got this for my 2016 golf. The plastic buckle is weak, so I swapped it in 10 minutes. This aluminum one feels strong. Easy, cheap fix to save trouble later.

This is the translated text. The 2018 right-hand drive model did not have the cone-shaped metal part shown in the video after the plastic part was destroyed. I knew it wasn't compatible, so I was prepared for that. So, I crimped a crimping clip onto the wire where the plastic part was destroyed, and then followed the same procedure as in the video.
