As fugas de óleo na junta da carcaça do filtro de óleo são comuns nos modelos de 6 cilindros de 1992 a 2005. 
Esta junta moldada é utilizada para vedar a ligação entre a carcaça e o bloco, mas encolhe e endurece com o uso prolongado, fazendo com que a vedação falhe e comece a ocorrer uma fuga de óleo.

Recomendação de reparação:
Uma vez que a substituição da junta requer a desmontagem de componentes periféricos (por exemplo, correias, tensores, tubos de óleo do VANOS, alternador, etc.), recomenda-se sincronizar esta operação com a manutenção regular para poupar nos custos de mão de obra.

Solved the problem

Decided to replace both gaskets even though I only had a leak at the oil cooler, good thing to do while its apart and I'm glad I did.

Quality Seal

I recommend an experienced mechanic to make the repair using the correct torque settings on the housing bolts (so the seal is not deformed). No more oil leaks for me! Very happy with this quality seal.

Check fitment before you buy

If you are doing the oil cooler gasket also, be prepared to remove the coolant hose to get access to the bolt from the back. After you are done, remember to properly bleed your cooling system before you drive.
